Vintage All Star looks more "boyish" and something I think he could grow up with easier. That's my vote and I'm sticking with it.

All right, folks, Judy has spoken! Judy has delurked in order to vote! Applause for Judy. Now you regular readers have no excuses! Let's get those votes in!

My favorite is -ehh, I'm torn- Vintage All Star. My second choice would be the moon and stars, something about that I really like.

Grandma votes for Vintage All Star as well. "Sportsy" enough for your husband, but not glaringly so.

I like the monkey one. And the moon and star one. But I don't like sports-related-decor, for various reasons I won't bore you with. :)

Well, I'm partial to the Vintage All Star because that's similar to what my boys have in their room. That's my vote!

I like the Vintage All Star. Are you planning on repainting? If not, you could probably get away with the first choice in the current room.

1st choice - Moon & Stars
2nd choice - Monkey Business
3rd choice - Boys Toys

I dunno, I guess I'm like black sheep, not crazy about the sports themes....my son's nursery has an ocean theme.

I LOVE this ocean themed one that I found, but my husband thinks it's not boyish enough, too neutral. And since we didn't find out the sex with Addy and had a pretty neutral nursery the first time, we're kind of excited about getting to go as boyish as we want with this one. So, no octupuses and starifsh for me...

I see where your coming from:) My cousin has two girls and just had a boy.
They've done the neutral and girlie girl thing. Their son's room is all sports, they are totally embracing everything boy.

*If and when* we have a daughter, I'm sure her room will be over-the-top girlie. I'm not going to lie, I can picture it in my mind, a mini chandelier, pink toile, so girlie it’s gross:)

Monkey Business looks fun and bright!
Some other thoughts:
2nd choice- Vintage All Star

I'm a sucker for any moon and stars theme but this one seems a little too pastel and I think he would outgrow it very quickly.

They're all good, but my two favorites are "Moon and Stars" and "Boy Toys."

I like animals, pottery barn kids has cute stuff too, aquarium theme for boys.

Sorry I can't follow the rules properly. It's very hard for me to follow the rules.

I love Bombay Kids, which is why I recommend either of these:

But whatever you pick will be gorgeous! Which reminds me that I am planning on buying paint this weekend and I need you to review and approve/deny, since I do not trust my taste and I like yours so much better.

I like the monkeys, personally.

I'm voting for monkey business.

What if you get sports themed stuff and he ends up wanting to be a ballerina or a chef or a librarian and doesn't like sports? At least that's how my warped mind works.

I'm in love with the Gap bedding. I love undersea themes, and that navy makes it less pastel-y and more boy-y. We have a transportation theme. (like you care!) Of the ones you showed us, the vintage all star gets my vote though I'm not really into sports themes, but that one isn't nearly over the top (which is why I hate most sports themes)

Here's a couple more I liked when I was looking for my son:

Sea Life

Under Construction

Sarah said...

Jen- the Under the Sea set is exactly the one I tried to talk Jim into. He dismissed the colors as being too neutral and not really boyish. I love it SO much though! Maybe I'll try again...

Sarah said...

Okay, I meant Sea Life, not Under the Sea. Don't know how I got that messed up.

My vote is for Vintage All Star.

Have you checked out olivekids.com? I love their stuff. Nicholas has "Under Construction" (he's a big fan of trucks) and Elise has "Flowerland."
