Another Poll

Names again. I really am itching to get this whole name thing nailed down, for some reason. Now that we know the sex, it seems there's no excuse not to be calling this child by his name.
So here's the new addition to the list: Beckham. Or possibly Beckett. Anyone like it? Anyone hate it? And yes, we'd probably call him Beck for short.

I like the nn Beck a lot. I think I like Beckett best. Nice. :)

Seeing as I'm incredibly attracted to David Beckham (soccer play), I love Beck as a name.

Great choice!

I also like Beckett the best and think Beck would be a good nickname. I think it goes nice with Adelay.

Cute. I would have never thought of those for first names. I don't know that I like one better than the other.

Only bad thing I forsee is will he get teased because Beck is close to a girlier Becky? Not many you Becky's anymore though, so that's probably not an issue.

Oh, and cute because A for Adelay, B for Beckham/Beckett. :)

I still like some of the other ones you had tossed around earlier better.

I do like Beckett. But since you asked, I'll say that Beck makes me think of that song that goes "I'm a loser baby, so why don't you kill me."
Then again, I'm kind of a freak for trying to think of what mean kids might do to a name, and I named my kid a Star Wars name. So don't hold my comments with a lot of weight. :)

Yay, more name discussion! I like both names, and I like the nickname. I prefer Beckett.

Kelli- Ah yes, that loathesome song. My husband introduced me to Beck (the musician) a few years ago, and I have not been won over. I do, however, maintain a deep and abiding interest in David Beckham. Not only is he a talented soccer player, making him a huge hit around here, but he is mighty easy on the eyes.

I like them both.. and Beck is a great nickname (it's also what we called our daughter, Rebekah... either Bek or Bekah) ;-)

Love the nickname Beck. Unique without being outlandish.

I think Beck is a cute nn...I immediately thought of David Beckham when I saw the post. It seems like you've considering this and don't mind, so I say go for it if you like it.

What else is on the list?

Umm... I'm not too fond of using last names as a child's first name. Unless it is a surname from somewhere in the child's family tree.

It's not really my style. It reminds me too much of Posh Spice.

I thought of you today when The Baby Name Wizard did a post that included the name Beckman.
