Because I Know You Love The Randomosity Of My Posts

-Grocery shopping on a Saturday afternoon is enough to make you hate humanity and want to move to a commune and grow your own food so you're never again at the mercy of The Man (aka Meijer.)

-Cleaning like crazy for two days to have an open house to which NO ONE shows up is enough to make you hate the whole process so much you want to stay in your current home until you die.

-Getting your hair trimmed by the only person in town who knows how to cut it so you actually feel hot is FLIPPIN' SWEET. Sweetness is only slightly tempered by the tiny hairs stuck all over your face and neck for the rest of the day.

-Having to drive an hour away to see The Other Boleyn Girl really burns my biscuits.

-But being able to finally go see The Other Boleyn Girl (and with cute hair no less!!!) is making me irrationally excited. I'm doing little countdowns in my head (less than ONE HOUR until we leave!) as though it were some sort of vacation to the Bahamas instead of a trip to the Cineplex. Clearly I need to get out more.

-BUT. Getting my hair cut and going to a movie all in one day is getting out QUITE a LOT for a stay at home mom of two little kids, no? Look at me, all Angelina Jolie! I can be a doting mom AND a jet-setting humanitarian/actress! (Guess which celeb I was reading about while my hair was drying?)

I am so with you on the shopping---people are flipping idiots at the grocery store. Especially on Saturday. I like to run out at night after the kids have gone to bed.

Yay for hair and movies!! I'm jealous. I'm going for a trim this weekend but am not doing anything sassy to my hair until after the baby--what's the point, I won't do anything with it anyway. I need the pony tail right now.

That first thing is exactly why we grocery shop on Friday nights. Not exactly glamorous, but so, so peaceful.

Yay for a cute cut! Where are the photos???

Man, I hope that movie is good. For your sake and your husband's.

What Lorid said. I've seen some bad reviews, and I actually thought about you and I was worried. No joke.

Ha ha! Yes, that's a lot of action for one day. I like to keep it at "one Thing per day." EITHER hair cut OR grocery shopping OR movie OR adopting an orphan. Not ALL.

LOL! You are a jetsetter for sure. A haircut AND a movie!! That's enough activity for a whole WEEK or MONTH around here!
I hope you enjoyed the movie!

Also, the open house - bummer. I know JUST how you feel.

Too bad about the open house. But hey, I hope the movie was good. And I'm sure your hair is adorable. I HATE going to Meijer on Saturdays. I like to go during the week, but then I have to keep the old grannies from pinching my boy's cheecks.

Yay for a great haircut and seeing a movie!

Boo to humanity for everything else.

I don't know when the stores are worse - weekdays when all the old people are there poking along (nothing against old people, but they ARE slow, and they frequently pay with checks, for chrissakes!) or weekends when everyone else is there!

I can't believe you got hair AND a movie all in one day! That is so amazing!!!! I lovelovelove getting my hair cut. It's the most freeing feeling, and I always feel beautiful afterwards, at least for a little while.

So sorry about the open house! The last time we moved I didn't have kids yet, but we had a puppy and I was pregnant so it seemed stressful at the time. I cannot even imagine having two, especially as young as yours and making the house even remotely presentable. You get an award for even trying. Good luck!

P.S. Thanks for stopping by and leaving me encouraging comments.
